JDNSTUDIOS

MINIATURE WORLDS. MAXIMUM PRESENCE. BUILT FOR PLAY AND DISPLAY.

Joey Di Nicola, also known as JDNstudios, has been bringing action figures to life from a young age. His journey into diorama building began in 2014 when, at just 13 years old, he created his first foam diorama and started experimenting with toy photography. Inspired by the Articulated Comic Book Art movement and the wider diorama-building community, Joey quickly discovered a creative outlet that combined storytelling with craftsmanship.

Over the years, through dedication and the support of a passionate community of collectors and artists, he refined his skills and developed a distinctive style. Today, his work focuses on creating highly detailed, immersive miniature environments designed to elevate action figure photography, posing, and display.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a diorama?

A diorama is a finely crafted miniature scene designed to freeze a single moment in time — built for display, storytelling, and immersive photography. At JDNStudios, we create hand-crafted, and 3-D sculpted hyper-realistic environments tailored for collectors, toy photographers, and hobbyists.

What kind of material is a diorama made out of?

Our dioramas are crafted from a variety of materials, with dense insulation foam serving as the primary foundation. Each piece is carefully hand-sculpted to achieve the exact look our customers envision. Additional materials may include PLA, PETG, and TPU plastics, acrylic, miniature flocking, craft foam, and balsa wood.

How are dioramas shipped?

Each diorama is carefully packaged with reinforced protective materials to ensure it arrives safely. Our builds also feature a magnetic design, making them easy to assemble, store, and ship.

Where and how are your products manufactured?

Our products are made in Canada and hand painted, sculpted and designed by Joey Di Nicola

How much does shipping cost?
